Instructions

  • Gather all ingredients, ensuring dates are pitted and almonds are ready.
  • In a food processor, combine pitted dates and nut butter until smooth and sticky.
  • Transfer the mixture into a square baking dish lined with parchment paper, pressing it down evenly.
  • Sprinkle raw almonds over the date mixture, pressing them gently into the surface.
  • Melt dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  • Pour melted chocolate over the almond layer, spreading it evenly.
  • Refrigerate for 1-2 hours until chocolate hardens completely.
  • Lift the bars out using the parchment paper and cut into squares or rectangles.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Notes

For variations, consider adding shredded coconut, dried fruit, or using different nuts. These bars are suitable for kids and can be frozen for up to three months.
