  • 500 grams Puff Pastry Keep chilled until ready to use.
  • 200 grams Nduja Use high-quality nduja for best flavor.
  • 100 grams Cheese (optional) Shredded mozzarella or cheddar recommended.
  • 1 large Egg Beaten with a splash of water for egg wash.
  • 1 pinch Salt Use sparingly as nduja is salty.
  • 1 pinch Black Pepper Freshly ground for best flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Herbs (optional) Chopped parsley or thyme recommended.

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F).
  • Let the puff pastry sit for about 10 minutes to soften slightly.
  • Roll out the puff pastry into a large rectangle, about 0.5 cm thick.
  • Cut the pastry into long strips, roughly 10 cm wide.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the nduja and shredded cheese (if using).
  • Place a generous spoonful of the nduja mixture along one edge of a pastry strip.
  • Roll the pastry over the filling, tucking in the sides to create a secure roll.
  • Repeat with remaining strips and filling.
  • Place the rolls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Brush the tops with the egg wash and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  • Allow to cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. Reheat in the oven to restore crispiness.
