Instructions
Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F).
Let the puff pastry sit for about 10 minutes to soften slightly.
Roll out the puff pastry into a large rectangle, about 0.5 cm thick.
Cut the pastry into long strips, roughly 10 cm wide.
In a mixing bowl, combine the nduja and shredded cheese (if using).
Place a generous spoonful of the nduja mixture along one edge of a pastry strip.
Roll the pastry over the filling, tucking in the sides to create a secure roll.
Repeat with remaining strips and filling.
Place the rolls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Brush the tops with the egg wash and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
Allow to cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. Reheat in the oven to restore crispiness.
